Plagiarism Policy

Jurnal Tifani accepts only original work. Every submitted manuscript is checked for similarity before it is sent to peer review, and must be at least 75% original (maximum similarity index of 25%).

≥ 75%Minimum originality
≤ 25%Maximum similarity

What counts as plagiarism

  • Copying text, data, figures, or ideas from other sources without proper citation
  • Self-plagiarism: reusing substantial parts of the author's own published work without citation
  • Duplicate or redundant publication of the same results in more than one journal
  • Submitting a manuscript that is under consideration by another journal

How plagiarism is handled

  1. Before review. Manuscripts above the similarity limit are returned to the author for revision or declined.
  2. During review. If plagiarism is detected, the review process is stopped and the manuscript is declined.
  3. After publication. Proven plagiarism leads to the article being retracted, following COPE guidelines.
Recommended checking tools are listed in the sidebar under Plagiarism & Language Check. See also the journal's Publication Ethics.
